Yes, walking the woods after eye doc has dilated eyes provides a unique — and somewhat painful — experience.

black raspberryOk., so another perfect day to have my eyes dilated during eye doctor visit. oh well. one eye better, one eye worse, so a push, but nothing dramatically wrong for which I am grateful.
I gave Dr. W. the New York Times article on the long-term dangers of lasik and she was interested.
then I told her — I know she has dogs and kids and likes the outdoors — about permethrin and gues what: she’s just finishing up a course of antibiotics because of a tick bite. so she couldn’t wait to get some. I will keep preaching this gospel.
Meanwhile, in showing how fast the summer is moving along, ripe black raspberries and the answer to the eternal question:

Here it is: The easiest way to tell the difference between the two is by the core, where the stem attaches to the berry. Blackberries will always have a white core, whereas black raspberries are hollow in the center (just like raspberries)
