Well, it only took 70 years, but I finally made it to Crystal Lake!

Eureka! If I had a bucket list of nature things to do this would be the one thing in it. After a decade of trying to find a way to Crystal Lake i finally made it today, from the new mini-entrance on Laurel Run Road.
Don’t know what I was expecting but it’s MASSIVE, looked more Lake Wallanpaupack sized than Harvey Lake sized, so very impressed and so much more to explore.

Have to plan to leave earlier next time so as to account for the 1.3 mile walk in and out. Also a little sun would help and whenever I go again, the torrential rains that have raised the lake’s water levels so high and made the paths around the lake impassible should be gone, one hopes.crystal (640x423)

As I get older -- and I'm 70 now -- I seem to find more and more that nature is the true source of peace, inspiration and, most of all, the truth the passeth understanding. Though my knowledge is sketchy and superficial, I wanted to share it while I can.
